The Golden Lion sits in the centre of Newport, a pretty village on the Welsh coast, in the heart of the Pembrokeshire Coastal National Park. Our historic inn has been serving locals and travellers for over 300 years. In recent years, it has built a reputation for the very highest standards of accommodation, food and drink. As a family run Inn, we go the extra mile to create a relaxed, friendly atmosphere and we take great pride and care in everything we do.

Time spent here will inspire and unwind you. Experience one of Britain’s most dramatic coastlines, see the most beautiful sandy beaches, breathe the fresh salty air, and be pampered by our dedicated team.

We are open indoors and outdoors for evenings Monday to Sunday 5pm-10.30pm.

Serving Sundays lunch 12 – 2.30pm.

The Golden Lion has 13 beautiful and comfortable bedrooms that offer the perfect retreat after long days spent on the beach, walking the coastal path or just enjoying local surroundings. We have accommodation to suit everyone and anyone; families, couples, lone travellers and dog lovers.

Tastefully styled with the works of local artists, The Golden Lion restaurant is bright and airy. Perfect for families and groups, but still intimate enough for a romantic meal for two. Our team always aims to prepare a menu based on seasonal and local produce wherever possible.
